Sarti on the Sithonia Peninsula

Built by refugees after the after the destruction of Minor Asia, Sarti is placed in the eastern part of the Sithonia peninsula opposite the bay of Mount Athos. Sarti is one of the top traveller’s destination in Halkidiki with a plenitude of choices for entertainment, recreation and eating. Sarti is 140 km. away from the city of Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece and 129 km. from the Macedonia (SKG) airport.

Its distinctive feature and charm lies in is its 3 km. bay with its wide beach and its crystal clear water that expands from the one side of the village until the other and is annually awarded as one of the top beaches of the country.
However, for those of you who are mountain lovers, there is the possibility of small excursions to Mount Itamos as well as having walks in the Metohi of the Xiropotamou Monastery and to visit the traditional church of Agios Georgios

How to get to Sarti

Sarti is 140 km from Thessaloniki and 129 km from Macedonia Airport where dozens of flights take place daily to and from the largest European and Greek cities. You can get here by car, bus or taxi.
